SESSION: re~Newed Mobility: Bike Culture and Social Justice in the Bay DATE/TIME: Sunday, Nov. 11th, 2012, 12pm LOCATION: Community Action Stage PANELISTS: Brian Drayton, Richmond Spokes; Jenna Burton, Red, Bike and Green; Tony Coleman, Bikes for Life DESCRIPTION (60 words max) Cycling is a lifestyle and vehicle for the social justice movement -- a living practice of liberation. It provides mobility, health, a sense of freedom, and compels people to “live at the speed of bike.” This panel will look at new ways to engage the cycling movement as a vehicle to transform community’s social, economic, political and physical landscapes towards sustainability.
